Drückereihalle im Ackermannshof St. Johanns-Vorstadt 19-21, CH-4056 Basel www.druckereihalle.ch/events-ansicht-dh/events/a-choreography-of-time.html Two New has curated a programme of recently composed works that experiment with temporal perception through the synchronisation and juxtaposition of contrasting musical and physical elements. With works by Steen-Andersen, Santiago Diez Fischer, Kenn Kumpf, Ricardo Eizirik. Featuring Swiss premieres by Manfred Stahnke and Beat Gysin and a world premiere by Einar Torfi Einarsson. In the programmed works: stasis evokes movement, calmness emerges from hyperactivity, repetition is both controlling and controlled, microtonality is a stabilizing and destabilizing force, and memory is relied upon and undermined. The result is a dynamic choreography of time. Tuesday, December 13th: we are presenting our programme "Choreography of Time" at the Unerhörte Musik series in BKA Theater, Berlin. With music by Simon Steen-Andersen, Hanna Eimmermacher, Ricardo Eizirik, Timothy McCormack, Caspar Johannes Walter, Chikako Morishita and world premieres by Beat Gysin and Manfred Stahnke!

In the brand new program we will explore movement in music. At times the movement is a physical connection between the bodies of the performers and the bodies of the instruments; sometimes the choreography concerns structural elements of the composition. Each piece offers a different glimpse of motion turned into music. Between the performances by duo “Two New” Michael Gross & Kamil Mrozowski will perform dance Solos. All the performers taking part in PLAY with by bodypainted by artist Dirk Baumanns.
